6 questions for Nicole Merdzan

You are responsible for the social media channels at HÖRMANN Digital - do you also use them privately? Yes, I've been putting a lot of work and time into my social media channels for a year now, which I really enjoy. Social media is simply a big part of my life and I can well imagine working in this field later on. I'm learning a lot from my new job, as a company naturally needs to be "marketed" differently than an individual person.

What are your tasks?

I am a social media student trainee and responsible for the HÖRMANN Digital channels and website. I primarily create content for HÖRMANN Digital's social media. It's a lot more work than you might think. But I think it's great to be doing something that I really enjoy.

What are you studying?
I'm studying business administration at the University of Augsburg and am currently in my 3rd semester.

How did you come across or join HÖRMANN Digital?

I came to HÖRMANN Digital through my friend. He had applied for a job in the strategy department of the HÖRMANN Group and now works in Kirchseeon. During the application phase, he also heard about the social media position and suggested me. It was very important to me to be able to work from home, which is generally possible at HÖRMANN Digital. Some of my colleagues work from distant cities and it all works really well. I was very pleasantly surprised by the informal atmosphere at HÖRMANN Digital. Starting with the fact that we are all on first-name terms, the atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant. Everyone is so friendly and very helpful - no matter what question I have. It's just nice to work in such an environment.

What would you like to do later in your career?

It's always difficult to answer this question. As things stand at the moment, I'd like to go into marketing, I'd like to have social media marketing and my private channels as a second mainstay. I hope that working at HÖRMANN Digital will help me decide.
