Funkwerk Systems implements train radio for Poland

Funkwerk Systems GmbH has received national approval for the MESA®26 train radio system in Poland. "We are proud of this and would like to thank our partners for their support," emphasizes Managing Director Uwe Lehmann. Analog train radio is still widely used in Poland. A large proportion of the rail network is now to be upgraded to the European GSM-R radio standard by 2025. This will affect more than 13,000 kilometers. With the approval for Poland, Funkwerk can participate in corresponding tenders and support its Polish customers in the migration to the digital European train radio system "European Rail Traffic Management Systems (ERTMS)" with the modern, flexible and versatile approved MESA®26.
