HÖRMANN Communication: Significantly more sirens again
Federal and state governments step up expansion of the nationwide siren network
The increased efforts by the federal and state governments to expand the population warning system are proving successful: where the sirens can already be controlled and triggered digitally, they could be heard on the nationwide warning day in Germany in December.
In 2023, the expansion of the nationwide siren network will continue. This not only involves the installation of new sirens, but also the integration of the sirens into the federal BOS digital radio network. This will create the technical prerequisites for the sirens to be triggered by the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) via the Modular Warning System of the Federal Government (MoWaS).
