VacuTec supports Sonnenstrahl e.V. in helping families and their children suffering from cancer.
Ionizing radiation destroys human cells. VacuTec helps to protect people from ionizing radiation with its measuring devices. "In the treatment of cancer, this destructive effect is used to fight the disease. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, they face a tough battle against the disease that can last for months or even years," explains Dr. Bettina Jakob, Managing Director of VacuTec Meßtechnik Gmbh.
Sonnenstrahl e.V. has been helping families and their children with cancer to overcome the extreme challenges for many years. With Haus Sonnenstrahl, Sonnenstrahl e.V. is expanding its premises. In 2024, a special place for a wide range of sports, creative and various group activities is to be created on the grounds of Dresden University Hospital, which will serve as a place for personal exchange and for experiencing and coming to terms with the disease together. Among other things, therapy, counseling and outpatient rooms, a multifunctional room and a terrace with a playground and seating area will be created. VacuTec is supporting this project and is sponsoring a room for one year with its donation.
