New Managing Director Operations (COO) of HÖRMANN Automotive GmbH

Together with his management colleague Mr. Christian Petters (Managing Director Sales), he bears overall entrepreneurial responsibility and profit responsibility for the Automotive division. As Managing Director Operations (COO), he is responsible for all operational business activities, manages all plants/subsidiaries and is tasked with significantly improving the competitiveness and profitability of HÖRMANN Automotive.

Jürgen Lechler studied materials science at the University of Erlangen after graduating from high school in Nuremberg and completed his doctorate on the forming behavior of steel during press hardening at the Chair of Production Technology. He then headed the sheet metal forming research group in Erlangen for two years and carried out numerous application-oriented research projects with the automotive and steel industries. He also obtained a degree in business administration at the same time.

After joining Schaeffler AG Herzogenaurach as assistant to the Executive Board, he held various management positions in production and industrial engineering for various product segments in the Automotive Technologies division. Jürgen Lechler has many years of profound experience in lean management, the management of a production network of several plants and the business processes of the automotive industry. Most recently, he was Head of Operation & Industrial Engineering at Schaeffler AG for a global business unit with several plants and production segments, a turnover of >500 million euros and series production of supplier parts for all well-known automobile manufacturers.
