Dr. Michael Radke succeeds Heinz Runte as CEO of the HÖRMANN Group
Dr.-Ing. Michael Radke will join the management of HÖRMANN Holding GmbH & Co. KG and HÖRMANN Finance GmbH and take over as CEO in the first quarter of 2017. He succeeds Heinz Runte, who will move to the Advisory Board at the same time as planned. CFO Johann Schmid-Davis will remain responsible for the commercial and financial management of the Group.
Dr. Michael Radke possesses extensive specialist expertise and management know-how as well as many years of experience in global sales and services. He earned a doctorate in mechanical engineering at the Berlin Institute of Technology before beginning his professional career at KSB AG in Frankenthal in 1992. There, working for a global manufacturer of pumps and valves, he built up valuable experience in technology and production as head of design and development, site manager and divisional head with power of attorney, before moving to Bietigheim-Bissingen to join the management team of Heinkel AG, a listed company. In 2007, Michael Radke was appointed to the executive board of Leistritz AG in Nuremberg, a broadly diversified technology group with more than 1,800 employees and annual sales of roughly EUR 260 million, where he was responsible for sales and technology. As COO, he embarked upon a sustainable restructuring process at the company and strategically re-aligned it with a view to the future.
‘In Mr Radke, we have found a first-rate successor to Mr Runte and ensured continuity as far as the direction of the company is concerned,’ said Hans Hörmann, Advisory Board chair and founder of the HÖRMANN Group. ‘We would like to thank Heinz Runte for his exceptional accomplishments and are delighted that he will still be on hand to support us.’
