HÖRMANN Warnsysteme using sirens to maintain dam safety

Romanian energy company Hidroelectrica SA has chosen HÖRMANN Warnsysteme sirens to keep its dams safe. There are 560 sirens ready to alert residents living downstream of the dam in the event of a leak or the controlled release of water from the dam, which can lead to flooding. Hidroelectrica considers it very important to make sure that residents in the inundation area of the dam can rely on warnings from the hydropower plant. HÖRMANN Group company has therefore worked with a local partner to upgrade the siren warning system and add new safety features.
